  FlightMap is suppliedwith airspace files which containsstandard feature definitions. You can add yourown definitions into these files.

Use the airspace browser toscroll through atree structured index of airspace features. You can view themap aroundan airspace feature by usingthe Map button.

The next pictureshows how the propertiesof an airspace feature can beaccessed directly from themap.

     
  Use the Inspectcommand to activate the airspace onthe map for selection by the mouse. Click on a feature label to bring up the Inspect Airspacedialog which provides propertiesinformation for that feature.

The nextpicture shows how you can displaythe results of an analysis of flight transitsacross airspace zones.

     
  Use the Airspace Transitscommand to see an analysisof flight transits across airspacezones. Initially, a summary of all transits is listed. You can then start theairspace transits viewer - as illustrated here -to review each transit in sequence.

Theairspace transits viewer gives a text summaryof each transit at the bottom of thescreen. Above that, the map shows thecorresponding airspacezone.

You movethe viewer through the listof transits bymeans of the keyboardpaging keys. You cancontinue to use other commands- such as Replay - to view a flighttransit across a zone in more detail.

The nextpicture shows how you can displayNOTAMs in a similar fashion.

     
  Use the Load NOTAMscommand to load atext file of NOTAMs published by theUK National Air Traffic Services (NATS).

Initially,a summary of all NOTAMs is listedwhich you can filter by geographiccoordinates, NOTAM type etc. You can then start theNOTAM viewer - as illustrated here -to review each transit in sequence.

TheNOTAM viewer gives the text of each NOTAM at the bottom of thescreen. Above, the map shows thecorresponding zone.

You movethe viewer through the list of NOTAMs bymeans of the keyboardpaging keys. You cancontinue to use other commandse.g. Inspect to review the propertiesof adjacent airspace features.

You canprint a map showing all the NOTAMs- and you can print more detailedmaps for individual NOTAMs. Thepicture below shows a single page briefing sheetprinted for an individual NOTAM.
